Traffic Noise

Traffic Noise

  • Traffic noise mapping – determining protected premises with exceeded noise limits using LimA calculations
  • Assessing the impact of changes in speed, number and range of vehicles or levelling on noise emissions
  • Acoustic barriers and embankments proposals, including optimization of their type, shape, length, height and acoustic properties (absorption and sound insulation)

Requirements to Develop a Study - Traffic Noise

  • Situation wider relations at a scale of 1:500, 1:1000, 1:2000 with contour lines, including the existing housing and, possibly, the newly proposed housing development
  • Traffic intensity divided into passenger cars and trucks and into day and night time
  • Horizontal cut of the road, a sample cross section
  • A document requiring measurements and assessment of the noise situation (usually the statement of the public health service or the building authority)
